Issue 61 Why Theatre, Then: Thoughts on Experimental Theatre Making

As a non-profit Organization dedicated to cross-disciplinary conversations and innovative works, Conversazione has been an energetic art community with impactful connections to scholars, curators, designers, and artists pursuing educations and career development in the creative field in the U.S, Europe, and Mainland China. 

Conversazione will invite Linked Dance Theatre, (http://www.linkeddancetheatre.com), the artistic director and production manager from the Five Element Theatre (http://fiveelementstheater.com/index.html) to join meaningful conversations and discussions. Another guest speaker on our invitation list is TheatreLab, which has well known as a creative artistic community for experimental theatre productions. (http://www.theaterlabnyc.com). The potential topics for the proposed conversation would be perspectives on creative production, contemporary experimental theatre-making, or perspectives on theatrical space and set designs.

Currently, Conversazione is working on a Salon and Panel Discussion that engages conversations between creative theatre practitioners. Meanwhile, Conversazione has developed a good relationship with NextScene, a New York-based theatre Experience Startup Company. (https://nextscene.us)  One of the possible venues of this proposed Art Salon and Panel Discussion will be hosted by NextScene's Startup Lab Screening Room in New York City.
